Whenever I go somewhere and use my credit card or i use my New England Patriots purse, I always get the same question over and over again, “Oh I bet you were so pissed when they lost, weren’t you?” My response is always no and when I say no, people are shocked which is then followed by the statement of “man, I would be so angry at them for losing, the game was so close. I don’t know how you can stay so calm.” I guess with all the videos and stories of people acting like bitches because their team loses, everyone expects all sports fans to be that way. When in fact, not everyone is that way. Yes it was upsetting that New England lost but it’s not the end of the world. Did I expect them to win? Yes. Did I also expect them to lose? Yes. You can’t win a game with a tie. That’s what overtime is for. I always expect New England to win but I always expect them to lose because any team no matter how great they are, is vulnerable to a loss, just like any team no matter how terrible they are still has a chance for a win. If New England won every single game that I wanted them to win, there would be no need to watch football because I would already know who was going to win and I would already know who was going to be in the superbowl. The weird part about the people who actually are mad and pissed because New England lost is that they aren’t even New England fans. One guy who is a Cowboys fan was mad because New England lost and for some weird reason he felt like I really wanted to hear his voice so as he was complaining about the superbowl all I could say to him was don’t take your anger for the Cowboys out on the Patriots. Smh, it’s just a game. It is just a game. I can’t lie though, I did cry a little but that was when New England was winning 17-15 with 3:00 left on the clock and the only reason I got misty eyed is because I was nervous.
BUT thanks to New England, I just made $150 :)
